So what’s in a portrait? Is it a reflection of the soul? Or is it nothing more than paint and canvas? Can a portrait transform the way you think? Can a portrait help create culture?

Portraits 4 the culture is meant to explore transformational and inspirational stories of people from different parts of the community. This series of paintings and interviews will introduce stories that help push the culture forward by creating a platform for people to share stories about themselves. The purpose of this is to empower people within the community to take back control of their narrative and showcase the culture in its true glory. The portraits will be revealed either during the interview or later with friends and family during a private event.
